AromaYoga HEY
Internal regulation through the Plant Kingdom
The sense of smell is the shortest route between the world and memory
Perhaps you use essential oils in your practice without fully understanding why they work, or you’ve been taught to smell them but not what happens in the nervous system when you do so. AromaYoga begins with the physiology of the sense of smell and an understanding of the plant, and culminates in a repertoire of tools that you can teach
This 300-hour programme will begin in autumn 2027. Enrolment is now open.
What is missing from many current practices?
Essential oils used out of habit, without any knowledge of the plant or safety guidelines.
Aromatherapy taught as a collection of recipes, without any coverage of physiology, chemistry or contraindications.
Smell treated as a form of atmosphere, rather than as a means of perception and regulation.
Scattered ideas that never quite come together to form a plan for accompanying someone.
The HEY AromaYoga Method
Holistic EcoYoga

A method that combines yoga with aromatherapy and herbal medicine.
It works with essential oils, hydrolates, resins, vegetable oils and herbs — through smell and touch — applied to mindfulness, breathing, movement, rest and self-care.
From an understanding of the plant to its precise application in practice and in teaching.

AromaYoga is not a stand-alone course
Be part of the Holistic EcoYoga® System, a training model that integrates different methodologies to understand human beings from an ecological perspective. Each method explores a specific dimension in depth and, together, they form a coherent path of personal and professional development.
What you will have learnt by the end of the course
IN YOUR PRACTICE
- Use essential oils, hydrolates and resins sensibly, ensuring they are of high quality and safe to use.
- To understand the physiology of the sense of smell and its relationship with emotion, memory and cognition.
- Make your own herbal preparations, from harvesting to the final balm.
- Incorporate the sense of smell into mindfulness, breathing, posture and deep rest.
IN YOUR CAREER
- Apply the tools of the method: AromaFulness, AromaPrana, AromaSoma, AromaYin, AcuAroma, AromaMudra, AromaSankalpa, AromaRitual and AromaYoga Nidra.
- Design classes, workshops and aromatherapy sessions using your own sequences.
- Developing comprehensive pathways: the applied pathway — stress, trauma and the nervous system — and the contemplative pathway — archetypes and flourishing.
- To lead olfactory training and recognise olfactory disorders and their causes.
- Work within your professional boundaries and know when to refer a case.
