EcoSer Yoga

Foundation, personal integration and conscious relationship

In-depth, holistic training tailored to a form of yoga that fosters a connection with oneself, others and the environment

To feel once again that we are part of nature

Perhaps you came to yoga in search of wellbeing, calm or a space to look after yourself. But over time, you realised that something was still missing. That the practice didn’t quite answer a deeper question: How can we live in harmony with the life of which we are a part?

EcoSer Yoga was founded to restore that connection. Because we understand that personal growth and caring for the world are not separate paths, but one and the same practice.

What are we overlooking in the way we practise yoga?

We have learnt to observe the body, but not the ecosystem that sustains it.

We seek peace of mind without reconnecting with nature.

We approach things from the perspective of the individual, forgetting that all life is about relationships.

And we leave outside the mat the very thing that gives meaning to the practice: our place in the living world.

The EcoSer Yoga Method

Holistic EcoYoga

An individual development process that takes place within a specific human and natural ecosystem.

  • Yoga as a system of human ecology
  • Learning through the relationship between the body, the community and the environment
  • Integrating to embrace a new way of living in the world
  • Finding your own authentic way of practising, teaching and sharing yoga
  • Growing with the environment

The Training Experience

The EcoSer Yoga · 200-hour Training Course is an experiential journey in which learning goes beyond the mere acquisition of knowledge to become a process of learning and pedagogical development. Throughout the course, knowledge is studied, practised, embodied and integrated through self-observation, group support and application to everyday life. This process facilitates

  • Conscious and safe physical practice

  • Integrating philosophy, metaphors and energy into everyday life

  • Self-awareness and internal regulation

  • Adapting to natural cycles

  • Developing a coherent approach to teaching

Ecosystemic and relational dimension

EcoSer Yoga is a practice of human ecology: views learning as a process that takes place in relation to oneself, to others and to the natural environment

Gallery 3 (group)

The training takes place in a space for exchange and support, where the group plays an active part in each individual’s process. We look in two directions:

  • From the inside out. Recognising our inner nature so that we can share it with the world

  • From the outside in. Learning from the shared process and integrating natural rhythms

We recognise that personal growth has an impact on the community and that the community supports individual development, and that this whole process is underpinned by the laws of nature

The ecosystemic and relational dimension allows us to experience yoga as a driving force for agency and a living practice within our own inner and outer worlds

EcoSer Yoga is not a one-off course

Be part of the Holistic EcoYoga® System, a training model that integrates different methodologies to understand human beings from an ecological perspective. Each method explores a specific dimension in depth and, together, they form a coherent path of personal and professional development.

Prerequisites

This course has no prerequisites, as we teach yoga from its very origins – both historical and philosophical, as well as practical (asanas, breathing, meditation, etc.). However, it is advisable to have some practical experience, as the more you have experienced and felt yoga in your life, the more you will be able to get out of the training and its practical applications.

Career paths and opportunities

This course is designed for those keen to learn more and develop personally. However, if you’d also like yoga to form part of your professional life, we’ll share with you the career opportunities we see today, based on our experience of over 20 years teaching. These include teaching at a studio, launching your own online channel, sharing yoga at a community organisation, working for a local council, running yoga programmes for businesses, and so on. You can approach yoga as a full-time or part-time role, working for yourself or for an employer, and so on. The opportunities are varied and will depend on you – on what you feel is part of your journey in yoga – which we’ll discover through the self-reflection exercises we’ll undertake during the face-to-face seminars.

Support and Guidance

We’re here to help you. And this doesn’t just mean sharing knowledge at each seminar. We place great value on connecting with our students. That’s why we offer a personalised service, both at face-to-face seminars and when you’re at home. We encourage self-reflection, which allows us to share experiences, opinions and ways of life as a group. We’ll also provide personalised support for your practice and guided sessions, offering advice, helping you get the most out of your practice and supporting you throughout the learning process. We do this without being patronising, but by empowering you so that, once the course is over, you’ll feel confident enough to share your knowledge at whatever level you wish.

Support Group

In the Hybrid Online programme, you will have access to a support group on the Online Campus where you can share content, experiences, opinions and more with other students. We will post recordings and additional content that arises during the course, such as films, yoga sessions, music and more.

Will I be able to teach once I’ve finished?

Yes, this course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to teach yoga classes using a variety of tools, such as asana techniques, pranayama, meditation, guided relaxation, affirmations, visualisations, restorative yoga, archetypal deities, and so on. However, whilst this is a basic and fundamental course, it is not a specialisation course. In other words, it is not designed to enable you to teach children’s yoga, therapeutic yoga or Yin yoga. For that, we offer other specialisation courses which you can take once you have completed this one.
